Informant; Company Sergeant Major: 850 John McFADDEN. Re: Corporal: 880 Herbert Ephriam PARKINSON. and Sergeant: 773 William FOULKES. I am extremely sorry that I can give no definite information as I left the Company on the on 3rd October 1917 and I am led to believe that both the above names Sergeants were reported missing after 12th October 1917. Corporal: 880 Herbert Ephriam PARKINSON. was a man 5'10" in height, about 13st to 14st in weight inclinded to be fair and ruddy featured. He enlisted from a place called Weston N.S.W. and has a wife and one child. Sergeant: 773 William FOULKES.is a slim lad towering 6ft. He is sharp featured and inclined to be dark. He was shot through the leg above the knee which has left a scar on both sides. He came from Wallsend N.S.W. and is a single man. I could recognise both above immediately and sincerely hope that there is every chance of them being safe and in good hands.
