INFORMATION

Robert Loder enlisted with A Company 35th Battalion AIF on the 20th of December 1915 as an original member of the battalion. Robert left Sydney on board HMAT A24 "Benalla" on the 1st of May 1916. Robert was awarded the Military Medal. Commonwealth Gazette No: 95, 27th of June 1918. Robert returned to Australia on the 23rd of June 1919 with the 3rd Machine Gun Battalion.

Family Information

Robert was a 19 year old Machinist from 65 Melbourne Street, East Maitland, New South Wales upon enlistment. Robert served with the 14th Infantry Militia. His sister Mary McDonald. nee: Loder was his next of kin.
