INFORMATION

Geoffrey Broome enlisted with the 7th Reinforcements, 35th Battation on the 18th of October and left Sydney on bourd HMAT A68 "Anchises" on the 24th of January 1917 amd returned to Australia on the 8th of June 1918.

13th April 1918

Informant; Private: 3171 G Broome. A Cmpanyoy 35th Battalion AIF. Private: 2530 Cecil William BUCKLEY. A Coy, No:1 Platoon, 35th BN. BUCKLEY was in A Coy. He was killed by a shell at Passchendaele when we hopped over in the morning. I saw this, and his body left there as we retired.

Family Information

Geoffrey was a single 18 year old Station Hand from Rockdale, N.S.W. upon enlistment. His father was his next of kin and lived at Watkin Street, Rockdale, N.S.W.
