INFORMATION

Alfred Hebry enlisted with the AIF on the 25th of November 1915 and was allocated to A Company, 34th Battalion as an original member and left Sydney on board HMAT A20 "Hororata" on the 2nd of May 1916 and desembarked at Plymouth, England on the 23rd of June. He was marched to the 9th Training Battalion at Larks Hill. Less than a week later Alfred was sent to Hospital at Perham Downs but returned to Larks Hill on the 12th of July. A couple of months past and Alfred was again back at the Fargo Military Hospital suffering from Haemorrhoids on the 9th of September.

After nearly a month in Hospital Alfred rejoined the 34th Battalion at No:25 Durrington Army Camp at Lark Hill but was agian sent to the 9th Field Hospital suffering from Haemorrhoids on the 14th of November 1916. He spent the next 4 weeks in Hospital and was marched back to the 9th Training Battalion on the 12th of December but after less than a month he was again admitted to the Fargo Military Hospital on the 6th of January 1917.

Alfred was marched back to the 9th Training Battalion, No:11 Durrington Army Camp on the 20th of January where a Medical Reoprt was conducted on the 5th of February 1917 and Alfred was declared Medically Unfit due to Haemorrhoids and Deafness in the Right Ear and he was marched to the No:2 Command Depot at Weymouth on the 1st of March and boarded the "Barambah" on the 8th of March and returned to Australia on the 9th of June 1916.
